Speedy Freight Announce Sponsorship Of Super Bantamweight Boxer Liam Davies

Speedy Freight are proud to announce that we will be sponsoring undefeated super bantamweight boxer Liam Davies. Hailing from Telford, Liam boasts an impressive professional record of 11-0 and currently holds the WBC silver international champion at super bantamweight.

Now represented by Frank Warren, big fights are on the horizon, none more so than his next bout. Liam will be making the first defence of his title as the hometown hero in Telford on the 16th of April. The title fight will be broadcast live on BT Sport and be witnessed by a vociferous local crowd.

Currently ranked number 6 in the weight class, victory in this bout could well prove to be a springboard to the British title. Speedy Freight will be following Liam all the way and helping in any way we can. With the biggest fight of his career coming up, Liam has been working hard, leaving no stone unturned on his quest for greatness.

Boxing is in Liam’s blood, following in the footsteps of his father and grandfather who were both respected boxers in their own right. In fact, he’s been in the ring his whole life and we’re excited to see him achieve his dreams.

On the sponsorship, and the big fight ahead, Liam said “I will give it everything I got to make the family proud but also show all the young lads/girls down the boxing club that anything is possible if you work hard and pursue your dreams. I’d been working on the bins for 3 years for the local council which kept me fit & paid the bills, but now thanks to sponsorship from the likes of Speedy Freight, I’ve been able to turn my full attention to my boxing which is upping my game to another level. I just want to say a massive thank you to Speedy Freight for coming on board & showing massive support.”

Liam is scheduled to go head to head with Andrew Cain from Liverpool as he defends his title for the first time. His opponent is also undefeated at 7-0 and it’s all set up to be a barnstorming night in Telford. For April 16th and beyond, we will be following Liam’s process keenly. We have no doubt that success in the next fight will lead to even bigger things and we’re backing you all the way. Good luck Liam, we’re delighted to be supporting you.
