    In regard to pricing, we tend to provide a definitive price at the time of enquiry, based on nature, size & weight of goods (which determine type of vehicle required) and mileage. But bear in mind ours is dedicated service (i.e. we never co-load with other companies goods) and deliver direct.

    Input your booking reference which you will receive once it is confirmed. You will have a dedicated Speedy Freight representative who will also provide you with personal updates.

  • Do you work with self employed owner drivers?

    Yes, our branches work with self employed drivers. Each branch has their own driver partner network, with drivers interviewed and vehicles inspected before joining our platform. Drivers must have held a driving licence for a minimum of 12 months, driven the specific vehicle within the last 60 days and have no more than 6 penalty points. Vehicles must comply with good distribution practice and be eight years or younger. Drivers have the right to substitution, but retain responsibility for the substitute’s safety, insurance, liability, remuneration and the standard of their work.

    If you become one of our preferred drivers, you will be eligible for weekly payments.

  • What is a courier driver partner?

    A courier is someone who delivers documents, consignments and items for domestic individuals and or businesses. A Speedy Freight driver partner usually uses their own vehicle, be it a van, lorry, motorbike, cargo bike, or car. Speedy Freight driver partners provide logistics delivery services on a same day basis to the UK and Europe.

  • Are Speedy Freight drivers freelance?

    Speedy Freight run their own fleets with employed drivers, and work with subcontracted driver partners throughout the UK and Europe. Speedy Freight partner drivers can decide which jobs they want to put themselves forward for. Drivers have the right to substitution, but retain responsibility for the substitute’s safety, insurance, liability, remuneration and the standard of their work. Subcontracted means partner drivers are not directly employed by Speedy Freight. A large number of logistic firms use freelance or private couriers to make deliveries on their behalf.

  • How can I become a Speedy Freight prefered driver partner?

    To become a self employed courier you will need a suitable vehicle for the type of work you want to do. Drivers require a full driving licence and hold a maximum of 6 penalty points. An up to date MOT will also be required as well as the correct type of insurance.

    No specific qualifications are required, or experience within the Logistics industry, as full training will be provided. You will be required to demonstrate your commercial acumen and share career history. A competency based interview is part of our recruitment process.

    Yes, in addition to an annual meeting, 2-3 regional meetings are held each year which include training. New Franchisees receive tailored training as part of our 12 week onboarding program, with a four week induction plan which includes onsite training and shadowing to demonstrate Speedy Freight systems, services and brand.
