Dedicated business delivery from £35. FIND OUT MORE

When Our People Need Us,

we’re there.

Our people are the lifeblood of Speedy Freight, the friendly team at the end of the phone for every customer, day or night, weekday or weekend, and our dedicated courier drivers and partners across the UK and Europe.

Through our comprehensive training programme, we empower our team members to expand their skills and knowledge, equipping them for both current responsibilities and future opportunities. We recognise that their growth is our growth, and we invest in their potential to achieve excellence in their careers, while supporting them when they need it most.

Learning & Development

Speedy Freight is dedicated to recognising talent and investing in training and development to nurture progression within our company and are passionate about the onboarding, retention, and development of our team members. In September 2021, we launched several initiatives to re-enforce a new Learning & Development (L&D) pathway that runs through our entire network and encompasses all areas of our business.

Our commitment to L&D has seen us recognised by professional bodies and accolades. We have received the 2022 BIFA (British International Freight Association) Staff Development – Highly Commended Award, and secured a coveted spot as finalists for the New Talent Development Award at the 2023 Motor Transport Awards.

We’ve also obtained NEBOSH certification for Site Safety Representative Training, and our most recently, endorsement from The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT), highlighting our commitment to delivering high-quality training in the logistics and transport sector.

We have also recently inaugurated the Speedy Freight Academy training facility to enhance our capacity to provide comprehensive training to our teams across the nation.

By continuously investing in our employees, we have built a strong, motivated team that delivers exceptional service to our clients.

Mental Health & Wellbeing

We’re committed to both the professional and personal growth of our team members.

We’re members of Able Futures, an initiative that provides crucial mental health support for all our colleagues. Mental health is a vital aspect of overall well-being, and we recognise the challenges that individuals may face at home and at work.

By being a part of Able Futures, we ensure that our team members have access to the resources and support they need to navigate mental health challenges effectively.

We also provide opportunities for employees who want to get involved in helping other colleagues by providing them with training sessions and the opportunity to become qualified Mental Health England First Aiders, who provide tips, knowledge, and mental health support to all colleagues across the network.

We’re dedicated to fostering a work environment where our team members feel valued, supported, and empowered to reach their full potential.
