The Client
Our client is a leading specialist prop maker, offering a range of prop design and crafting services, including sculpting, moulding, casting, and painting. With a diverse clientele across all sectors, including the events, marketing, hospitality industries, they craft artistic and promotional materials tailored to their clients' very specific needs.
The Consignment
The consignment consisted of transporting three large and heavy fibreglass darts for our client, commissioned for promotional purposes by Premier League Darts.
Having previously utilised our services for a similar one-off delivery, which involved transporting a giant arrow to a supermarket chain's headquarters in London, our client entrusted us with this unique consignment and our Speedy Freight Tonbridge team gladly welcomed the challenge once again.
The Solution
Understanding the unique requirements of the consignment, including its size, weight, and fragility, we selected a suitable vehicle for the job—a 26-tonne Flatbed equipped with a Hiab crane to facilitate the loading, unloading, and transportation of the consignment.
Given the time-sensitive nature of the consignment and its fragility, our team meticulously planned the transportation process. With our dedicated same day delivery service, we were able to quickly and efficiently move this consignment of irregular size and weight, with our driver successfully moving the consignment from Kent to Cardiff and helping unload and move the three darts on a particularly cold winter’s morning.
Our dedicated service ensured the consignment's safety, while our same day courier service ensured it was delivered promptly ahead of the event. Thanks to our round-the-clock availability, delivering in the early hours of the morning was no challenge for our team.
The Result
Thanks to our dedicated efforts and strategic planning, the darts were safely and swiftly transported to their destination at the Utilita Arena Cardiff. and could be seen on ITV News’ coverage of Premier League Darts.
