Alistair McDonald opened the Speedy Freight Teesside branch in 2015, becoming part of the logistics industry for the day-to-challenges – and no two days are the same. He has previously worked as a close protection officer, guarding celebrities and diplomats. Outside of organising same day courier services in Teesside, Alistair is married with three children, and he also has foster children. He is a lover of football, which he enjoys as a hobby, and supports Middlesbrough FC. His favourite food is cottage cheese and Marmite sarnies. Plus, he is a ‘self proclaimed’, leading brew maker in the Speedy Freight Teesside office.
Lisa Morris is a busy lady, serving as the business development manager for Speedy Freight Teesside, and covering Speedy’s same day courier services in Darlington and Sunderland. She became part of Speedy Freight family in 2017, having spent 20 years in finance and marketing. Wanting a complete change of industry and a new challenge, she decided that joining a national courier company was right for her. Lisa says: “it’s the best move I have ever made.” She is married with two sons, and became a grandma for the first time to a granddaughter during the first COVID lockdown. She is a cat lover too, and adores her two British Blue felines. Lisa is also partial to ‘good old fashioned fish & chips.
Daniel Hurst joined Speedy Freight Teesside in July 2021, bringing with him a background in logistics, having worked as an operator, a supervisor and in logistics planning in previous roles. He has two sons aged seven and three months. Daniel’s favourite food is a Teesside Parmesan (also known as a Parmo). Daniel says: “If you have never tried one, get yourself to Middlesbrough and try it”. He is a dedicated supporter of Middlesbrough FC, and is a fully fledged season ticket holder who travels to many away games around the country.
